Drop The Debt – In A Field Of Its Own At Glastonbury 2010

22 June 2010

Jubilee Debt Campaign is returning to Glastonbury this year with our infamous ‘Drop The Debt’ bus.

This year is not only Glastonbury’s 40th anniversary, but also the tenth anniversary of the Jubilee 2000 petition which took the world by storm. We gathered nearly 25 million signatures in the most international petition ever, and have continued to press for the cancellation of unjust debts ever since, with some big successes along the way.

A decade on, we will once again seek to show that small measures make a difference. Last year thousands of festivalgoers signed our End the Vulture Culture campaign postcards and today we have the world's first law against so-called vulture funds.

Come and find the bus!

So if you're coming to Glastonbury, come and join us – it’s a perfect opportunity for us all to work together to effect change and to press for the end of unfair debts on countries that can barely afford them through our new Dodgy Deals campaign.

As at other years, we will be supported by a host of bands who will be singing in our bath (listed below). There is also the chance for one lucky person to win a bubble bath on our Drop The Debt bus as well as other prizes that money can’t buy.

So come along and support us, we’re just by the Other Field!
